...a little about me As early as grade school, I wanted to be an artist. I drew stick figure drawings on all available paper and even in the margins of my books. After High School and the Army I went to New York City were I worked as a shoe salesman and attended drawing classes at the "Art Students League" for a short time. This is one of the finest art schools anywhere. I later attended "The New School" in Greenwich Village NY. What I learned there about creating is as important to me today as it was then. It was not just the class or the instructor. It was a place and a time for freedom of expression. Creativity was everywhere. The art, the music, the poetry, the people.....I could go on for hours about it. After leaving New York I spent several years traveling and living a hippy lifestyle with some artist and musician friends. I created and sold paintings along the way. We set-up in mall parking lots, fields, flea markets, concerts and even on the beach. We put what we made together and made enough to support ourselves and our life-style. I later visited some friends who were attending college in Florida and it has been my home ever since. I continued to paint while studying and experimenting with sculpting materials. My sculptures and wall sculptures started to become popular at Fine Art Shows and gallery exhibitions. I was later represented by the very prestigious Foster Harmon Gallery of American Art in Sarasota. My career took off. I won 53 and counting awards. I now have sculptures, wall-sculptures and paintings in homes businesses and fine art collections world-wide. I am currently working on new paintings and sculptures at my Zephyrhills, FL studio.
